K&J Piano Duo
Kay Takahashi and Jean Shin started their piano duo performance to volunteer for the programs of special kids in 2009. The joy they felt from their volunteer opportunities was the inspiration that led to the eventual formation of K&J Piano Duo.
While living abroad in their respective countries, Japan and South Korea, Kay and Jean both earned degrees in Piano Performance. They continue to develop their musical skills as professional pianists under the guidance of esteemed professor, Dr. Janice Razaq at Harper College.
In every performance, their goal is to share their unique interpretation of East meets West by collaborating with various other instruments and to introduce a fresh and different takes on their classical piano sound. The duo gave a very special recital at Performing Art Center at Harper Collage in 2014.
